We really love our acronym and believe in all that it stands
for.
So where you may traditionally see a mission statement here,
we have our values, desires and statement of purpose all included in the
following that is an extension of our “about me” segment:
Possibility – We believe in the possibility and the process
of people getting to their own best selves.
If there is a space in which people have the tools and
support they need to access their creative dreams, that process is all the
easier.
Expression – Expression is a human need and right….and it’s
fun! We want people to have what they
need to explore and create what comes from their heart.
Appreciation – The way we are and skills we each contribute
to all that we do are so valuable and unique.
We believe in honoring what each person is bringing with them and
recognizing how important that is to us all – with the hopes of
a world free of ableism and full of appreciation and inclusion of all people
regardless of ability.
Passion – Everyone has passion. For what and how to make it
accessible are the questions.
Opportunity – With passion and opportunity, all things are
possible. Whether it is a painting, a
pea plant or justice.
Dignity – People with disabilities are often overlooked in
many aspects of life. We believe that all
have the innate right to be valued and respected and desire a world that doesn’t
stop there, but truly appreciates us all and loves our differences.
